Arion Communication

Arion Communication established an official partnership with global satellite communications company Iridium in 2012.
In 2015, we obtained approval from the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning of the Republic of Korea to provide reliable Iridium satellite communication services across various industries, including aviation, land, and maritime sectors.

In particular, as the importance of securing emergency communication systems required for disaster management agencies under the [Framework Act on the Management of Disasters and Safety] continues to grow, Arion Communication ensures uninterrupted connectivity even in extreme disaster situations through low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite-based solutions that are free from directional and angular constraints, unlike traditional geostationary satellites.
This approach overcomes the limitations of aging equipment caused by expired service life and discontinued components, and also enables stable operation through backup satellites.

Furthermore, ARION JAPAN, a wholly owned overseas subsidiary of Arion Communication headquartered in Tokyo, acquired the Iridium satellite service license from Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications in 2017 and has since been providing satellite communication services throughout Japan.

Since 2002 when the partnership with Ibnmarsat was concluded, we have provided various satellite communication services to domestic maritime businesses, governments, and military customers.

Since 2010 when Arion Communication founded Global Star Asia Pacific jointly with Global Star, it has operated a gateway in Yeoju, Korea.
Since 2020 when it obtained the license of key telecommunications business operator and acquired Global Star satellite communication service from LG Uplus, it has provided Global Star satellite service throughout the Asian region including Korea and Japan.

Arion Communication has concluded a partnership with Intelsat, which is the largest satellite communication company in the world that has provided innovative satellite technology for more than 5 decades. Since 2023 when Arion Communication acquired the satellite communication service license of Intelsat from the Ministry of Science and ICT, it has provided HTS services through Intelsat satellites for overland, maritime, and aviation sectors.
